Used this on my deck all summer and not a drop of water has gotten inside. I use it to store birdseed and bird feeders at night. No sign of mice. Love it!It is a completely plastic box. My only complaint was the labeling of each individual piece. Maybe I missed the labeling somewhere on the parts. I would recommend addition a white sticker to each part to clearly identify each part.Love this! Waterproof, sturdy and sooo easy to put together. I put it together myself in 15 minutes .. it was tricky at times but totally doable. Great purchase.It was as advertised. Great value and very functional for my storage needsGood storage bin. We have 2Very pleased with the medium sized chest. It was easy to assemble and overall appears well made. Cannot comment on the lock mechanism as we don’t need it and it is under the patio cover and protected from weather. It easily holds multiple cushions.We've had this for 6 1/2 years, along with the larger Suncast one, and it's held up super well. Just looking for something bigger as we've gotten new cushions that are bigger. Wish Suncast made a bigger one like this!We’ve had this trunk for several years and it’s kept its contents dry and protected even during heavy rainfalls from tropical storms. Highly recommend it!When I started searching for outdoor storage (to stash my huge Christmas tree on my balcony), I could not believe how expensive these boxes were. It's crazy that 6 pieces of plastic could cost so much money but I suppose it's the cost of holding a huge item like this.My main requirements for this box was that it keeps out rain and insects. Over the few weeks I've had this box, we've had crazy amounts of wind & rain and there is no evidence of water seeping inside. Judging from the construction of the box, it does not appear possible for an insect to get inside - there just are no gaps for them to seep into.While assembling the box, I constantly thought that it was garbage-quality (their instructions are pretty useless) and that there was no way this would look nice... but now that it's assembled, it actually looks very nice feels substantial. It is crucial to understand the instructions and make sure everything is aligned properly when building this box.This particular box is very aggressively priced compared to the competition but I have found it to be very sturdy and attractive.--Edit--It's been over a year and a half. No problems at all with this box. It has kept our Christmas Tree dry and absolutely fine. It worked so well, I purchased a second one to store random clutter around our home on the balcony.--Edit 2--It has been about two years now. Still perfect. It has just the right amount of room, and looks awesome out on my deck and the price was certainly the best I've seen around. Although it is very sturdy it's not something I would use as a seat or to put heavy stuff on. Definite - no no!I purchased two of these deck boxes at a great price this past Sept. I have an odd closet/crawl space under a stairwell in a small condo style home. This space is useless and provides access to some pipes. So, I put a deck box in there with my artificial Christmas tree, wreaths, garlands etc. It can easily be slid out if access to pipes is needed. The 2nd one is in the tiny garage storage area and am currently storing exterior lightweight Christmas figurines in. I am hoping the prices come down again as I have a balcony in need of a couple more for my deck cushions and summer patio stuff.Very nice and lots of room. Difficult to assemble. Need to have more than one person . Hard to start over if you make a mistake.
