In this book, the author looks at the difficulty autistic children have when visiting the doctor and the dentist. In particular, the sounds, smells and sensations that may not bother other children. The text is written sensitively and openly, and will help autistic children to discuss these issues. The author, through Chicken Boy, also explores methods to help cope with these feelings. Overall, this is a fabulous tool for a parent of an autistic child, or for other children to understand how noises and smells can be problematic to a child with autism. A great book, with lovely illustrations.
